Unoccupied Historic Mine

The Paramount Mine is nestled neatly in the crevices of the Bodie hills. Although it was an easy find, it has apparently been overlooked as a historical location and place to explore over all these years.

Described in a 1992 geology report as an abandoned mercury mine, we found evidence on the property that indicates organized mining here as early as the Turn of the Century.
